Intro

So, how do you actually write a story about your life? How much of it do you leave raw and true and how much do you go a head and make up to better the story? Ever wonder where some great fictional writers get it? How much comes from something they may have actually and in real life dealt with.. Did Stephen King see Penny wise in a dream or in life?

Trying to recall my very first memory in this life is beyond hard. A few thoughts come in and I’m not sure which is the right one. My Mother told me when I was born, my Granny J (Dad’s Mom) said I would have a veil on my face meaning I had gifts and I would be special. I was premature based on the fact my brother got in the closet and shot off a shotgun freaking my Mom out into labor on the night before Thanksgiving, I made my entrance around 2:08 AM on T-Day… She confirms to me I had a veil like substance over my face, I was yellow from being jaundice with my under developed liver. Though she had to have Thanksgiving dinner at the Hospital I think leaving me there for a few days is what upset her most. To this day, this holiday and me don’t get along.

So there was this veil, this black hair, olive skin and born what seemed to be too early little human. But, was it too early? The universe and cosmos do as they will, I was here and I made it. Now, was I meant to be special, do I have gifts? Did the stars have something lined up for me? Questions, questions… swimming in them from day one.
I guess part of me never really questioned why I came early, maybe only why I made it and what was the plan for me…. Are things suppose to happen they way they did? Are our lives prewritten for us and we fulfill them as we go on or does it change as we grow and decided what it is we want in life? Questions.

My parents are the right amount of hokey to have raised me to believe in anything that is way outside of the box. From ghost and spirits to psychics and magic. Does being raised on this belief make those things that much more real to someone like me? Are people really born with gifts and beliefs like that?

This, story… I plan on making it the perfect mixture of fiction and non. My life plays in my head as such a thing, parts I know I made up to help cope with the parts I didn’t make up. As a child I recall all the bad things that happen to me so I make up the good parts, some are real but not real enough. I’m that kid filled with hope and magic, the one who made up my worlds and even friends to cope with the life I had to live. I’m the adult from a product of such a life, still coping with made up scenarios of everyday life. I have real friends and plenty of experiences, good and bad. But it’s magic, it’s the unknown that will always drive me to dream beyond what I am. I never wanted to feel normal; I wanted and searched for the special parts of me. Why and if I stand out. I longed for a life that would sound like a movie, and maybe one day someone else will think so as well.

So, let’s see if I can gather enough true memories along with some made up ones to keep you here with me. Because all my life I wanted to be in your hands, making you see things the way I have. To have a stranger, live parts of my life with me.
